Singer-songwriter Mac McAnally, with some of his old Coral Reefer bandmates and the FestivalSouth Symphony Orchestra will bring a unique performance to the Mississippi Power Stage at iMPAC.
McAnally grew up playing country and gospel music in Belmont, Mississippi. He’s a 10-time Country Music Association Musician of the Year winner, a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and he has written many hit songs for artists such as Toby Keith, Sawyer Brown, Alabama and Jimmy Buffet.
The FestivalSouth Orchestra consists of faculty, students, and alumni from The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg along with other professional orchestral musicians from Mississippi, Louisiana, and Florida.
One of Buffett’s last messages to his family and fans before he died last year was: “Keep the party going.” McAnally and friends are taking it to heart.
